Whether youre new to the skincare world or have a dressing table jam-packed full of products, youll be familiar with Elemis Pro-Collagen Cleansing Balm. A classic when we think of skin cleansing and make-up removal, Elemis is a staple in any routine. Theres a reason this product is always stocked in the Love Island villa every season to help maintain the islanders clear and glowing skin.
As someone whos been a fan of the original formula for as long as I can remember - I was initially quite dubious about trying a new scent but I was intrigued to see how the new scent reacted with my sensitive skin. Elemis fans will recognise the various balm editions - Naked, Green Fig, Rose and Original and the latest edition: Black Cherry.

View offer Simply apply the cleanser onto dry skin and let the creamy oil break down any make-up from the day. The oily formula emulsifies much like the original into a light milk and glides away with warm water and a flannel.
First impressions As someone obsessed with the original formula, I was desperate to try this launch and see how it compares. I was instantly obsessed with the deep cherry red jar and was expecting the product to look different inside but aside from the packaging, regular users will be pleased to know that other than the fragrance, the formula is identical.
I was pleasantly surprised by the fragrance as it took me back to childhood and reminded me of nostalgic cherry flavour sweets. The fragrance is a lovely blend of black cherry, almond, and vanilla – rich, indulgent, and perfectly balanced.
How I tested the Elemis Black Cherry Cleansing Balm I wasnt surprised to see that this cleanser effortlessly melted away makeup and impurities as I rely upon this formula in my daily skincare routine but the sweet cherry scent now makes the experience even more enjoyable. Plus, the formula leaves my skin feeling deeply hydrated with long-lasting moisture.

©Georgia Scott/ Closer Final verdict: Is Elemis Black Cherry Cleansing Balm worth it? As someone whos always loved the original, theres no surprise that this latest launch has become my new favourite. I love the rich scent combined with the classic oily, nourishing formula and I look forward to removing my makeup at the end of the day. If youre in the market for a new cleansing balm - wed definitely recommend adding this to your shopping bag.
