Lydia Millen’s summer Karen Millen collection is here – and it’s easily her best yet

　　The old-money aesthetic is all the rage right now and someone who has always embodied a timeless and classic style is luxury content creator and author of Evergreen, Lydia Millen.

　　So much so, the YouTuber is a proud ambassador of Karen Millen (she has no relation to the fashion designer) and has worked with the retailer on many beautiful collections.

　　Her latest collection for summer 2024 is made for those sun-kissed days to balmy evenings and is here to save your garden party ensemble.

　　I think last year it felt like we didnt really get much of a summer and I think were all kind of counting on this summer. So the inspiration was really just that classic, timeless, pared-back summer, not overcomplicating things, just sticking with what I think Karen Millen does so well.

　　I think those pieces make you feel really lovely in summer as well. Thats always at the epicentre of every collection, just ensuring that people feel lovely when theyre wearing them.

　　Does Lyds have any favourite pieces from the collection? If she had to choose?

　　I always say that I couldnt possibly choose just one, but in the Christmas collection we did last year, there was the Taffeta Shirt Dress that I really wanted to bring that piece into summertime and its black.

　　Black isnt always a huge colour for summer, but its just so gorgeous. The cut of the dress is so stunning and it also comes in ivory, so works really well for brides as well. Its just really simple with no faff to it, but it looks so good.

　　Theres also, which feels a bit different from my collections, but we have a cape dress. Im so glad weve done a cape dress after seeing Rosie Huntington Whitely go to a garden party at Buckingham Palace wearing one!
