The solar cell maximum power point tracking (MPPT) is to ensure that when the light intensity changes, the photovoltaic cell always outputs the maximum power to make full use of solar energy. Under normal circumstances, it is necessary to use a switch-mode DC-DC converter to implement the MPPT function to maintain the product of the output voltage and the charging current (output power) maximized

CN3791 adopts the switching step-down mode DC-DC conversion method to realize the maximum power point tracking function of photovoltaic cells. Its input voltage can reach 28V, which is very suitable for applications with a large difference between the input voltage and the battery voltage.
