J Hooks are used to secure insulation to wire mesh. They can be tack and arc welded, or just hooked onto the mesh. After the hook is attached, the insulation is installed over the longer portion and held with a self-locking washer.

BirdAway Solar Panel Deterrent Clips are used as the fastening system for wire-mesh barrier pest deterrent systems between solar panels and roofing.  BirdAway Solar Panel Deterrent Clips are 6-1/2" long and have a shepherd's j-hook on one end which grasps the bracketing of the solar panel.   A self-locking speed washer is then used to secure the wire mesh in place.  Both the clips and washers are made of 10 gauge high-grade stainless-steel which provides maximum endurance to outdoor elements.
