Apple’s MagSafe is a series of strong magnets in the back of every iPhone that provides users with a convenient way to charge the device wirelessly and attach various accessories. Snap the phone to a compatible charger or a MagSafe accessory to the phone, and it’ll stick. The feature has been a staple since the iPhone 12 and, save for the iPhone SE, is available in every new iPhone on sale, including the latest iPhone 15 series.
While MagSafe works fabulously with wireless chargers, an entire ecosystem of first- and third-party accessories — like snap-on wallets, cases, and batteries — also work with it. It’s essentially a convenience-boosting system, consolidating accoutrements that you’d normally have to carry separately into one package or letting you keep the phone charged more easily.
To help you find the best MagSafe accessories available as I updated this article, I began my search by tapping into previous coverage by editors at Best Products. I then supplemented the picks our tech editor, Stefan Vazharov, already had here with my own. I’ve been using MagSafe for the past few years with a compatible case, wallet, and wireless charger, giving me first-hand experience to make informed picks. From chargers and stands that redefine convenience to a minimalist snap-on wallet, these are the best MagSafe accessories every iPhone owner could benefit from.
1Best MagSafe Car Mount
ProsCons
Bulkier than many othersBelkin’s Vent Mount Pro is a convenient accessory for drivers, since its magnets and strong ball joint allow users to easily view their iPhone in landscape or portrait mode. Its design is sleek and thoughtful, too. Case in point: the clever cable management setup. You can loop a power cord between the white stalk and the gray clip, securing it there so it’s not dangling during the drive.
2Best Travel Charger
Pros
Compact design
Supports 15-watt charging
Comes with a 30-watt charger and a USB-C cableConsThe Anker 3-in-1 Cube is the MagSafe charger to buy for someone who owns multiple Apple devices. The small block can charge a MagSafe-compatible iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods, providing 15 watts of output power. The top portion of the Anker cube features a hinge that allows you to adjust the angle of the charging surface. This functions as a stand and makes it possible to charge the iPhone propped up and take advantage of a new iOS 17 feature called StandBy, which shows helpful widgets like a calendar or alarm clock.
Many 3-in-1 MagSafe chargers are large and take up a lot of surface space. The Anker charging cube is much more compact when all three charging surfaces are in use; it’s even smaller when it’s collapsed down, making it easy to take on a trip. Notably, the Anker 3-in-1 comes with a 30-watt charger and a USB-C cable, so it’s ready to provide power right out of the box. Anker’s charger was a hit last holiday season, with supply difficult to come by. We recommend picking one up as soon as possible with the holidays approaching.
3Best Card Storage
Pros
Equipped with strong magnets
Virtually impossible to damage
Plenty of storage capacityCons
Some might find the design too utilitarianThis magnetic wallet by Pelican is hands down the most rugged option for storing essential cards alongside a MagSafe-equipped iPhone. The Protector is fully waterproof and impossibly tough. Better yet, its magnets are the strongest found in a MagSafe wallet, ensuring that it will stay in place and not bounce away if the iPhone falls to the ground.
The interior of the wallet has two compartments with space for several cards and cash. Plus, there’s a sturdy snap-on closure.

4Best MagSafe Wallet
Pros
Sleek, minimal design
Doesn’t add weight or bulk
Easily detachableConsFor the past few years, Apple’s slim and luxurious leather wallet with MagSafe was the go-to for carrying an ID and credit cards. However, now that Apple is moving away from leather, the brand has introduced the eco-friendly FineWoven Wallet with MagSafe. It’s made of a durable microtwill material that offers a soft, suede-like feel, and it delivers the same minimalist experience that made Apple’s previous leather wallet such a staple.
Like Apple’s other MagSafe accessories, the FineWoven Wallet has the magnets to keep it attached to the iPhone. But if it does get left behind, the wallet works with Apple’s Find My tracking feature, which will show its location via the app. It can hold up to three cards and is shielded, so it’s safe for credit cards.
5A Budget-Friendly Case
Pros
Eye-catching design with geometric patterns
Affordable
Dependable drop protectionCons
Limited color optionsThe Parallax stands out for its textured back, and those dimples also make the case easier to hold. Another bit we like about the product is its impulse-buy price tag, which frequently drops below $20 during sales.
Designed to meet military-grade durability standards, the case offers solid protection against scratches and drops. The product is available for the entire iPhone 14 and lineups.
6A Colorful and Versatile Battery Pack
Pros
Colorful design
Handy viewing stand
Ample charging capacityCons
USB-C port could use more charging speedAvailable in tones that match the iPhone’s colors, the Anker 622 will blend in while attached to the back of any MagSafe-compatible Phone or case. Best of all, it has an integrated stand that can hold your iPhone in landscape or portrait mode.
The product has an ample 5,000-mAh capacity, a USB-C connector for replenishing its battery and wired charging of other gadgets, and a bundled USB-C cable. Anker backs it with a two-year warranty.

7Best MagSafe Grip
Pros
Small and lightweight
Ring can act as a kickstand
Magnetic on both sidesCons
Some complaints that the ring is too bigAs the iPhone continues to get slimmer, it becomes more challenging to handle. But Andobil’s Magnetic Phone Grip provides an ergonomic and comfortable way to securely hold Apple’s device. The grip’s ring flips out and rotates 360 degrees, making finding a comfortable holding position easy. The ring can also prop up the iPhone in portrait and landscape modes for hands-free use.
When Andobil’s phone grip isn’t in use, its slim profile won’t bulge in a pocket. It also offers a lightweight build and strong magnets for a secure fit. The brand claims the magnets are strong enough to support the weight of five iPhones, so it shouldn’t accidentally come off. The phone grip is magnetic on both sides so that it can attach to other metal surfaces easily. And it's available in a handful of colors, so you can find one that matches your giftee’s style.
8The OG MagSafe Charger
Pros
Fast charging speeds
Incredibly portable
Compatible with tons of third-party accessoriesCons
Wall adapter costs extraApple's own MagSafe charger is a small but versatile tool for iPhone owners. It has a maximum power output of 15 watts, so it’s plenty fast. And the accessory uses Qi wireless charging tech, so it will still work with AirPods and older iPhone models that don’t have MagSafe. There’s a built-in cable and a USB-C connector but no bundled power adapter, sadly. We recommend , though keep in mind if you don’t have one already that it will bring the total cost close to or over $50.
9A Beefier MagSafe Battery
Pros
Huge capacity
Can charge three devices simultaneously
Built-in kickstandCons
BulkyCheck out this for a more powerful, versatile alternative to the Anker 622. Ugreen’s MagSafe power bank features an internal 10,000-mAh battery — double the capacity of the Anker. You get 7.5-watt charging speeds and, as a bonus, the ability to power three devices simultaneously, thanks to 20-watt USB-C and USB-A ports. These features make Ugreen’s charger a must-have for those who own multiple devices, like an iPhone, iPad, and AirPods.
The pack also features a built-in kickstand, making it possible to charge the iPhone while propping it up for a FaceTime call. It’s little touches like that, plus the larger battery capacity, that make Ugreen’s magnetic battery worthwhile. And at half a pound, it doesn't add much weight when attached to an iPhone, making it great for travel. Plus, while the Ugreen battery pack is relatively new (it launched in July), we’ve already seen it on sale several times.

10Best Bargain Charger
Pros
Fast charging speeds
Affordable
Long 6.6-foot charging cableCons
Wall adapter costs extraBelkin’ Wireless Charger is a more affordable and versatile alternative to Apple’s MagSafe charger. It matches the 15-watt charging speeds of Apple’s puck but ups the ante with a built-in kickstand, allowing the suer to prop an iPhone while charging. Consequently, the kickstand facilitates iOS 17’s new StandBy mode. This feature turns the iPhone into a smart display while charging horizontally, providing big, easy-to-see widgets when the device is locked.
Additionally, the Wireless Charger features a lengthy 6.6-foot braided cable, so the phone doesn’t need to sit quite so close to an outlet when it’s plugged in. Its compact size makes it an excellent option for traveling, but its simple design will also look good on a desk or nightstand. Keep in Mind: The charger doesn’t have a wall adapter. You’ll need to spend a bit extra for one.
11Luxe MagSafe Nightstand Charger
Pros
Beautiful, sturdy design
Can charge an iPhone, an Apple Watch, and AirPods simultaneously
Fast charging speedsConsMagSafe chargers are a dime a dozen, but none are as beautiful as the Nomad Base One Max. The brand’s 3-in-1 charger looks like it came straight out of Apple’s labs; it features a luxurious metal-and-glass design that feels solid. At 1.7 pounds, Nomad’s charger is hefty, but that’s not bad because it stays anchored onto surfaces, making removing an iPhone from the charging pad easy without everything slipping.
The Base One Max can charge an iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods simultaneously—and it’s MFi-certified so that it can deliver a maximum charging power of 15 watts. The charger requires a 30-watt power adapter, which you must buy separately. A bummer. Otherwise, Nomad’s Base One Max is the closest thing we’ll get to a 3-in-1 wireless charger from Apple. The brand also offers the Stand One, a wireless charger with a single pad that can deliver 15 watts of charging power.
12Best Vegan Leather Wallet
Pros
Stylish, versatile design
Doubles as a kickstand
Can hold four cardsCons
Thicker than an average MagSafe walletWith Apple moving away from leather and on to a new FineWoven material, Satechi’s magnetic wallet fills an important void in the MagSafe accessory market. It’s made of, as the name says, vegan leather and takes the simple design of Apple’s MagSafe wallet and makes a few key changes. For starters, Satechi’s version can hold four cards simultaneously, making it easier to ditch a standalone wallet and carry more. The wallet also doubles as a stand to prop up the iPhone vertically or horizontally when watching videos or making video calls over FaceTime. This is thicker than most other MagSafe wallets, which generally don’t offer kickstands and can only hold a maximum of three cards. However, the tradeoffs are worth it.
The wallet is available in four colors (black, dark blue, brown, and orange) and is made from more sustainable vegan leather. It’s also compatible with Apple’s entire lineup of MagSafe-compatible devices, except the iPhone 12 mini, which Satechi said is too small.

13Best Wallet Case
Pros
Excellent card storage capacity
Rugged yet luxurious
Reasonably pricedCons
Removable magnetic closure is easy to replaceThe Modern Leather Folio has been an editor-favorite here for a while, thanks to its MagSafe compatibility and more sophisticated design. The future-proof accessory is crafted from full-grain leather, which will develop a unique patina as it ages. It has slots for a trio of cards, a pocket for cash, and a magnetic clasp that comes fully off for those who don’t want it. Meanwhile, the Modern features anodized aluminum buttons, preserving the tactile feel of using the iPhone without a case — a very underrated feature of current iPhone cases. It’s also rated for 8 feet of drop protection, giving extra peace of mind.
With the release of the iPhone 15 series, we’re highlighting the newest update from Nomad. But you can order the MagSafe-compatible wallet case in black, brown, or tan for every iPhone in the 14 and 13 lines.
14Best Leather Case
Pros
Slim and elegant
Button covers have excellent tactility
Available in several colorsCons
Not the most rugged option in its classThe Apple Leather Case is consistently among the most stylish options for protecting your iPhone. As expected, the MagSafe-compatible variants of the popular accessory are even more convenient. You can order the product for any iPhone with MagSafe on board.
Available in several colors, the case has a slim profile and feels great. Like all leather accessories, it will wear nicely over time.
Like we mentioned, with the announcement of the iPhone 15 series, Apple will no longer sell leather goods. That leaves only other brands offering leather cases for Apple’s newest iPhone models. If you’re dead set on Apple, check out the case it claims is made from 68-percent post-consumer recycled materials.
15Best Clear Case
Pros
Excellent protection against damage
Antimicrobial coating
Available with various color accentsCons
Pricier than some rivalsThe MagSafe-compatible Gemshell case will protect and show off an iPhone. According to its maker, the accessory can help the gadget survive drops from up to 8 feet. Additionally, it has Microban antimicrobial tech, which reduces the growth of bacteria on its surface.
Speck offers this accessory and a host of other MagSafe-ready cases for the and older generations.

16High-Tech Protection
Pros
Reasonably priced
Reliable protection against damageCons
Could use better button coversMade from genuine carbon fiber, this thin case by Monocarbon is cool, high-tech, and rugged in equal measure. The sides are textured for added grip and drop prevention. The accessory is available for all older iPhone variants with MagSafe. Consider this sleek MagSafe wallet from the brand to complete the carbon fiber setup.
17Luxe MagSafe Charger Stand
Pros
Beautiful design and workmanship
Sturdy metal base
Available in various finishesCons
PriceyThe Grovemade wood MagSafe stand is a handsome accessory fit for a desk or workstation. Meticulously crafted in Oregon, it has a stainless steel base and stand, leather and wood accents, and a natural cork base. It weighs almost 3 pounds, and that weight helps it stay in place.
Available with sanded maple or walnut wood accents, the stand works with (not included), and it can hold an iPhone in landscape or portrait mode.
