White, tasteless waxy solid, melting at 47°C-64°C, density of about 0.9g/cm3, dissolved in gasoline, carbon disulfide, xylene, ethyl Ether, benzene, chloroform, carbon tetrachloride, naphtha and other non-polar solvents, insoluble in water and methanol and other polar solvents.

Application: 

 Paraffin can make detergent, emulsifier, dispersant, plasticizer, grease, etc. Fully refined paraffin wax and semi-refined paraffin wax are widely used, mainly Used as a component and packaging material in foods, oral medicines, and certain commodities (e.g. wax paper, crayons, candles, carbon paper), and as a coating for baking containers Fresh fruits, electrical components insulation, improve rubber aging resistance and increase flexibility.
